- Our Mission
We, the people of Gary Memorial United Methodist Church, a small yet vibrant part of the family of God throughout the world, express our commitment to our heavenly father by:
Embracing the historic richness of our house of worship and pledging together to ensure that it will survive the changing tides of the future;
Remolding our programs and services to serve each present age;
Providing prayer, care and loving support for all of our members and friends in times of heartache, suffering and loss;
Taking notice of, and rejoicing with, those members of our family in times of joy and accomplishment;
Proclaiming a gospel of the loving grace and power of God for all who seek him;
Reaching out beyond our walls to share the good news of God's love with others;
Supporting the work of the United Methodist Church throughout the world by prayer and financial support; and
Acknowledging, unselfishly, that the work we do is God's work and trusting him in all that we try to do in his name.
